liliesandrain: Here in Italy a really famous singer, with a really big fanbase made mostly by girls, came out a few month ago, and his new album has been on the top charts for I don't even know how long. It's horrible to say to someone not to be who he/she is just because of money. I would buy their albums even if they were all gay and having orgies on the tourbus LOL

Mmm, yes, you would think since all of the fans are okay with it…then management would be too.

I don’t work in the industry, so my knowledge of this stuff is very limited, but being a Psychology major, I can sort of guess what management is thinking.

It’s just a controversial issue, and since One Direction is, let’s face it, pretty new to the industry and the world, management probably wants to give things some time, and get fans more comfortable with them should the boys want to come out.

Another thing you have to remember too, is that their fanbase is huge, and the “riot” in France the other day is when things are going good for them.

I think management might also be a bit wary of what will happen if some fans don’t take lightly to the news (if they decide to come out, or if they are gay at all).

I do like the orgy theory, though…
